ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Ayanna Pressley Anis is a wife to Jeff, mother to Khalil and Gabrielle, daughter of Monica, Horace, and Wade, and big sister to Aisha, Horace, Amiynah, Emmanuel, Zuheerah, and Tynnetta. She is also Auntie YaYa to sixteen nieces and nephews and Bestie Boo to LaNetra. Ayanna is Sis, Sissy, SisterMommy, Sorority Sister, and good friend to too many to name. She has lived and has ties to Columbia, South Carolina, Newark, New Jersey, and Atlanta Georgia. She currently resides in Los Angeles California where she is a Human Resources Executive for the publicity organization of an entertainment company. She is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Masters in Human Resources and Employment Relations. Ayanna is passionate about using her coaching skills to help unstick the stuck. She is an avid traveler who could live off crab legs and lemon sorbet.
